Otto Mitter’s path into the beauty world was inevitable, since a young age Otto was introduced to the world of beauty by his mother who started one of Australia’s pioneering beauty, slimming & health clinics in Australia.

Otto’s mother wrote and contributed to the first competency based beauty therapy training in Australia (wrote the Diploma of Beauty Therapy, Diploma of Health Science and Aesthetics, and founded the Gold Coast Training Academy who graduated thousands of beauty therapists in Australia) having been brought up by such an influential person in the industry it was only a natural progression that Otto found himself studying make up artistry, beauty therapy and all things lash & brow at the Gold Coast Training Academy straight out of high school.

Fast forward to now and after two decades of studying the art of lashes, brows, beauty and cosmetic formulation, Otto and his team at Ex-Import currently produce and supply lash & brow enhancement ranges for professionals and develop educational programs to over 40 countries across the globe and have a combined team of over 300 trainers worldwide.

Otto’s dedication to education has seen him as a guest speaker and educator at the world’s most prestigious beauty and lash events, learn from the world’s best lash masters and judge at leading global lash competitions.

In 2017 Otto won the prestigious “Educator of the Year Award” at the Australian Beauty Industry Awards and a was a top 3 finalist in 2018.

In 2018 Otto won “Educator of the Year” at the Global NALA Awards (National Association of Lash Artists) and was nominated as a top 3 finalist in Professional Innovator category respectively.

Yvonne van Wieren, CEO & Founder Lash eXtend.

Since her childhood Yvonne has taken an interest in make-up and beauty. Back in 2010 she experienced first-hand how it felt to get a new set of eyelash extensions. She instantly knew she wanted to offer this feeling to many more women and the idea of starting a company sell and distribute quality eyelash products was born.

Several years of meticulous planning, getting trained by some big names in the industry, finding the best suppliers, creating a product line and a well thought out brand image, the webshop was made and Lash eXtend was officially founded. The company went live on January 1st 2013, in the middle of the financial crisis, but nothing could stop her. She assembled a small team of dedicated people who were teaming up with her and from there on the company experienced a steep and steady growth.

In the meantime Lash eXtend has 3 business divisions. The wholesale division, taking care of shipments of everything that is needed to apply eyelash extensions. Currently the product portfolio consists of more than 700 different products which are delivered from stock. On a daily basis many orders are being processed in the new headquarters in Bunschoten, the Netherlands and parcels are being sent worldwide. The second division takes care of training and education, through which Yvonne and her team trained thousands of national and international lash technicians in a number of different techniques. Third is the competition grade Salon, where the Lash eXtend trainers improve their knowledge and skills and practice to take part in international battles.

After organizing the highly anticipated and successful Lash Conference 2015 and a second edition in 2016, Yvonne took on the challenge in 2017 to organize the Lash World Cup 2018 in Amsterdam. During this event teams from all over the world participated and several hundreds of lash stylists battled against each other during a number of competitions in different techniques. She even organized a country team battle, where lash stylists could team up and take on the teams of other countries to defend the country honor. All in all it was a big spectacle and a very successful event, which has resulted in 1 second edition to be held in 2020.

In the meantime the eyelash extensions business has been expanding steadily and is here to stay, for a big part thanks to the lash eXtend brand. Lash eXtend as a company is still expanding its activities rapidly to a multitude of countries and has become an industry leader by innovating and inspiring lots of people to pursue a career in the beauty industry.

Currently Yvonne is managing the company and its marketing campaigns and runs operations together with 20 colleagues and regularly acts as international judge during international competitions across the world.

Levi Shephard has dedicated her entire career to supporting lash artists and educators around the world. Levi is a key contributor to the advancement of the lash trade and will continue to hold a strong presence in the industry for decades to come.

Levi sold her lash and brow studio and gave up her training academy to focus on serving the members of NALA and advocating for the lash industry full time. Puck van den Berg is a Jack of all trades with regards to eyelashes. She started her professional career as a lash stylist in her own salon. Soon after, she opened her online business as a wholesaler of eyelashes and related products carrying numerous brands.  In the meantime the company has grown to be the biggest supplier of eyelash related products in the Benelux area.  The product and market knowledge Puck gained by working with so many different brands and products has resulted in a new brand of lash lifting products named L’Avely Volume lash Lift.

Salina van Es, started her career in the beauty industry as a beautician. Soon after, she became interested in the massive impact that beautiful lashes have on a woman’s appearance. She completed her first eyelash extension training with Lash eXtend in 2012. Now, five years and various internal and external training programmes later, Salina has become a Lash eXtend Master trainer.

Salina is one of Lash eXtend’s main trainers, a well-know and respected figure within the company. She has won over 20 international competitions worldwide. As a multiple award-winning trainer, she is becoming judge for international competitions.  Salina is a true expert when it comes to perfect lashes and has greatly contributed to Lash eXtend’s international growth.

TB Kim, founder and CEO of Volume Lashes Co and owner of Blue Geisha Lashes in NYC, is a multiple award-winning artist with experience as an international judge and guest speaker. She currently hosts an online competition, NYC Volume Lash Cup, and offers international training courses, specializing in competition training. Many students of hers have taken home awards and won competitions after receiving the training.

She received 11 cups within only 8 months and her fast growing achievements and commitments to lash competitions quickly helped her talent become recognized in this industry.
